Kannur: Another death due to COVID-19 was reported in Kerala on Wednesday. Kannur Iritty native PK Muhammad (70) died after battling with coronavirus. He was under treatment for cancer.
He was tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday and shifted to the hospital. Following this, he breathed his last at the hospital.
Muhammad returned from Muscat via Kannur airport on May 22. Though the health workers directed him to observe quarantine at the hospital, he refused to follow it and went to his son’s house at Koothuparamaba. Following this, police registered a case against him for violating the directions.
With this, Kerala recorded 18 deaths due to coronavirus.
