Thiruvananthapuram: Congress party is preparing to launch a statewide ‘Samaragni’ march under the leaderships of KPCC president K Sudhakaran and opposition leader VD Satheesan. The march is scheduled to begin from Kasaragod district on January 21 and will conclude in Thiruvananthapuram by the end of February 2024. The march will pass through all the 140 assembly constituencies. District-level meetings will be held next week as part of the preparations for the march.  

Congress members were asked to intensify the preparations for the Lok Sabha polls in the KPCC executive meeting. 20 war rooms will be set up across the state as part of the national election. KPCC will take stock of the situation.

The party alo decided to organise a large women’s gathering in Vandiperiyar demanding justice for the family members of the six-year-old girl who was brutally raped and murdered in the region. The gathering will also vouch for strict action against the culprit.
