Thiruvananthapuram: The seniority list for compassionate appointment in Kerala service will be prepared on ‘the first come first serve’ basis. That is, applications received first in this regard will be considered first. However, plans are on to introduce another list giving priority to dependents aged over 50 years. So such dependents will be included in both the lists.
Every tenth turn for the compassionate appointment will be filled from the said priority list. Older dependents used to reach pension age by the time they get appointed in the service. In order to avoid this, the new system is implemented.
Adalat for appointment:
Prior to the implementation of the reform, if there are vacancies as of now in the Public Administration Department which are already reported, adalats will be held for those dependents awaiting appointments. Those who are not appointed even after the adalat will be included in the new list. It is also being considered to offer jobs to candidates, who have not yet placed, in accordance with their educational qualifications.
