Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which took over the investigation of the solar case is conducting raid at the Cliff House on Tuesday morning. The team is conducting raid at the Cliff House based on the complaint relating to allegations of sexual exploitation in the sensational solar scam case against senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
The evidence collection at Cliff House is progressing. The raid will be held in the presence of the complainant.
The case against Chandy was registered over the last several years and investigated by the Crime Branch of Kerala Police based on a complaint by the woman, an accused in the multi-crore solar panel scam during the UDF government, that she was sexually exploited by them in 2012.
The Cliff House, located at the state capital, is the official residence of the Chief Minister of Kerala.
Evidence collection was done by CBI officials on April 5 at MLA hostel over the complaint against Hibi Eden. The complainant too accompanied the officials.
