Sabarimala: The virtual queue booking limit for Sabarimala darshan will be reduced to 80,000 per day. Currently, 90,000 people can avail virtual booking. The government and the Devaswom board authorities came to this decision after the unprecedented rush of devotees at the Sannidhanam in the previous days.
However, Travancore Devaswom board president P.S Prashanth said that a spot booking facility will be available for devotees at predetermined places. He also said that the propaganda that basic facilities are not available in Sabarimala is not true.
The queue complex system has also been successfully implemented at Marakkuttam for better crowd management. Prashanth also said that various facilities are available for devotees along the path to Sannidhanam, organised with the help of various departments.
