Kozhikode: The brother of the tribal man who was found dead near the Government Medical College Hospital here alleged that the deceased, Viswanathan, was murdered.

There are bruises on his body. Someone beat him. He just had a baby eight years after marriage. He was so happy that day. He would never kill himself, said Raghavan.

Tribal man found hanging from tree in Kozhikode

Viswanathan was found hanging from a tree near the MCH on Saturday. His mother-in-law had alleged that hospital security staff had questioned him after alleging that he had stolen money and a mobile phone. She said the death was related to this incident.

However, the Assistant Commissioner of Police claimed that the postmortem report did not point out any bruises. Police are looking at all angles.
