Tribal man found dead in Kozhikode was accused of stealing money, says mother-in-law

Kozhikode: Hours after a tribal man, Viswanadhan (46), was found hanging near Kozhikode Medical College on Saturday, the family of the deceased raised allegations against the hospital authorities.
 
The accusation is against security staffers at the Institute of Maternal and Child Health under the Medical College.

The deceased’s mother-in-law Leela claimed that Viswanadhan was accused of stealing money and a mobile phone from the hospital. Though he made it clear that he has not done anything, the security staffers questioned him, she said.

According to Leela, Viswanadhan was seen as very stressed over the matter. She also demanded a probe over his death.
