Kannur: Tourism Minister P A Muhammed Riyas stated that Kerala Speaker A.N. Shamseer had not uttered any comment that disrespected any religion.
Riyas told reporters in Kannur on Saturday that CPM state secretary M.V. Govindan had already clarified the matter.
Terming it as a Sangh Parivar agenda, Riyas said that BJP is trying to create communal polarisation in Kerala. He added that people's trust powered LDF to return to power in Kerala.
"If the Kerala Speaker's name had been Godse, the BJP state president would have embraced him and raised slogans in his praise. The speaker is not someone who has recently started his social work. We have also witnessed the criticism received by a leader such as A.K Balan, who comments on topics after thoroughly studying them. Some are attempting to restore Kerala's old feudal system on purpose.," he said.
