The lyrical line Mazha meghangal panthal orukkiya puthu varsham... " will resonate through classrooms, marking a poetic beginning to the new school year

Adoor (Pathanamthitta): This academic year’s ‘Praveshanolsavam’ will welcome students with a heartfelt song composed by Bhadhra Hari, a young poet who has a strong love for verse, across Kerala. The lyrical line Mazha meghangal panthal orukkiya puthu varsham... " will resonate through classrooms, marking a poetic beginning to the new school year.
Bhadhra, currently a Plus One student at SVVHSS, Thamarakkudy, in Kottarakkara, Kollam, recalls her own first day of school ten years ago at Holy Angels School in Adoor. Holding her parents’ hands as she stepped into the school, she remembers being warmly welcomed by the teachers. However, she also notes that, back then, there were no welcome songs sung during the school reopening, unlike the musical greetings now planned across the state.
A gifted poet, Bhadhra has twice received an 'A' grade in poetry writing at the Kerala School Kalolsavam. Her poetic sensibility goes beyond school achievements; she has recently sent a poem urging the protection of Yamuna River to the Prime Minister through the PMOPG Public Grievance portal. In response, the Director of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, acknowledged the concern and indicated that actions have been initiated for river conservation.
Adding to her literary contributions, Bhadhra has also published a book titled ‘Dhanumasa Pournami ’, which compiles a selection of her poems.
Bhadhra’s mother, Suma, is a Biology teacher at SVV Higher Secondary School, Thamarakudy, and her father, Hareendranath, is the deputy tehsildar at the Adoor Taluk Office. She has a younger sister, Dhwani S Hari.
