
Thiruvananthapuram: The six accused in the 2016 Kerala Assembly ruckus case are expected to appear before the trial court here on Wednesday, as per the ultimatum given by the Chief Judicial Magistrate.
The accused are Left front leaders V Sivankutty(present education minister), EP Jayarajan (present LDF convenor), KT Jaleel, K Ajith, CK Sadasivan and K Kunhammad (former MLAs).
The leaders need to personally appear before the court as chargesheet in the case will be read out. The chargesheet is read so that the accused can deny or accept the crimes charged.
Chief judicial magistrate R Rekha will adjudicate the case on Wednesday.
Trial proceedings in the case will be initiated after these procedures. It is observed that the verdict in the case will be crucial in minister Sivankutty's political career.
