Kochi, Kerala: The Kerala High Court has quashed the final case filed against former UDF MLAs over allegations that they assaulted and behaved indecently with women MLAs during a ruckus in the state Assembly.
The court quashed the case filed by LDF women MLAs against former MLA AT George. With this, all cases alleging that UDF MLAs assaulted and misbehaved with women legislators during the Assembly incident have come to an end.
The High Court had earlier quashed cases against then MLAs Dominic Presentation, M.A. Wahid and K. Sivadasan Nair.
The Kerala Assembly ruckus case involves violence on March 13, 2015, when opposition LDF MLAs tried to block Finance Minister K.M. Mani from presenting the budget.
