Ankola (Karnataka): Items, including mobile phones and toys, were recovered from the cabin of Arjun's truck. After retrieving the truck from the Gangavali River, the interior of the cabin was inspected, leading to the discovery of these items. When Arjun's child's toy truck was taken out from inside the cabin, it was a heartbreaking sight for those present. Arjun had taken this toy to keep his child's memories close during long journeys.
The cabin of the truck, driven by Arjun, was found in a damaged state after being retrieved from the river. The cabin was brought to the side of the national highway using cranes on Thursday morning, after which the inspection took place. Previously, human remains, including bones, had been found inside the cabin.
The cabin was in a muddy condition. After reaching the highway, the cabin was cut open and cleaned with water. It was then thoroughly inspected. A toy truck of the child, two mobile phones used by Arjun, a watch, a bag, utensils and clothes were all recovered from the cabin. The items found in the cabin have been identified by Arjun's relatives. A bone fragment was also discovered during the morning inspection.
Arjun's sister Anju had previously stated that the Karnataka Government had done everything possible. She noted the presence of Malayalis and the media from Kerala. However, she mentioned that false propaganda by YouTube channels was distressing, and the family, along with truck owner Manaaf, faced significant cyber attacks.
"MP M K Raghavan was the first to help. The state government sent representatives to stand with the family. Thanks to the support of Karnataka MLA Satish Krishna Shetty for the dredging inspection. MPs K C Venugopal and M K Raghavan directly pressured to enable dredging. Jithin did everything for the family. Manaaf took other measures. Many people took various approaches for Arjun's sake. Everyone has received answers. The truck will be found, but it will take time, and the Karwar SP assured the family of this. In the beginning, some people tried to mislead the family with false information. The Karnataka government did not ignore Eshwar Malpe," Anju added.
She mentioned that DNA procedures are ongoing and that they will wait until the legal processes are completed, expressing gratitude to everyone who stood by the family.
