Kannur: Health Minister K. K. Shailaja said the activities of Mathrubhumi SEED is remarkable.

Mathrubhumi SEED provides a breath of fresh air at a time when the minds of people are drying up. SEED creates an atmosphere of greenery, said the minister after inaugurating state level award ceremony of Mathrubhumi SEED.

The ceremony which took place in Kannur police assembly hall was presided by the Deputy Director of Education, TP Nirmala Devi.

Mokeri Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Higher Secondary School, which was selected the best ‘Haritha Vidyalayam’ in the state, and Madonna AUP school, which secured the third place, received the award from the Health Minister.

In Kannur district, Koothuparambu Thekkilangadi Higher Secondary School bagged the first prize while Thachangadu Government Higher Secondary School secured the first place in Kasaragod district.
