
Kozhikode: The second season of 'Varamuri', an art camp organised by Mathrubhumi SEED (Student Empowerment for Environmental Development) in collaboration with the Federal Bank, concluded at the MM Press building here on Saturday.
The camp provided an opportunity for children aged 6-11 to sharpen their creative skills and offered a platform for interaction with eminent personalities from various fields. Alongside enhancing their artistic abilities, the children received instruction in essential life skills from trained professionals.
A total of 80 children participated in this year’s 'Varamuri', divided into two groups: 'Balabhumi' and 'Minnaminni', each comprising 40 members.
The children were guided by an expert team including renowned artist Madanan, Joy Thomas, CJ Sibi, Dwijith, Gireesh, Dhananjay, Adv. Aparna Narayanan, P P Binoj, V Balu, NN Sajeevan, and Anandu Sudhan. The event was coordinated by P Pramod Kumar and the team.
The camp was inaugurated by Madanan on May 6. The closing ceremony was presided over by P V Chandran, Chairman and Managing Editor of Mathrubhumi. At the function held, gifts were presented to the participating children. The children's artworks were displayed, drawing the attention of parents and guardians, many of whom captured photographs.
