Malappuram (Kerala): Internal strife is intensifying within the Muslim League regarding the personal staff appointments made by the party's Ministers. The MSF (Muslim Students Federation) Malappuram district committee has passed a resolution alleging that Ministers are acting arbitrarily in these appointments and completely sidelining the student wing. The organisation expressed strong resentment against the "autonomous tendencies" of the Ministers, who have completely neglected MSF since coming to power.

The resolution criticises these unilateral actions by the Ministers as a betrayal of the grassroots workers and organisations that work day and night for the party. The MSF maintains that it is unacceptable to deliberately exclude active workers from these appointments—especially those who have been on the frontlines of protests, faced physical assaults and endured imprisonment over the last decade.

The Youth League had also previously raised its voice against this conduct of the League ministers. Although similar differences of opinion exist within the Congress party as well, it is within the League that this issue has escalated into large-scale public protests and formal organisational backlash.

The unilateral moves by the Ministers have triggered widespread discontent across various factions of the party.
