Kozhikode: Queer Pride Kerala, a collective of the LGBTQ+ community in the state, has released a logo for its 12th pride march, an annual parade celebrating their identity. This year’s pride parade is organised in Malappuram. The logo is inspired by ‘Islamic Geometry Art’. The collective said it is hopeful that the logo will send a message that Queer Pride Kerala’s politics is against ‘queerphobia’ and ‘Islamophobia’.
“The Islamic Geometry Art inspires the pattern and shapes of this logo. Each shape gets a unique colour and stands for our diverse identities. And these diverse shapes structured as our queer heart, stand for our love and struggle,” the collective wrote on Facebook. The logo is designed by Muhammed Zuhrabi.
The date of the pride parade is not announced yet.
Queer Pride Keralam is an independent and non-profitable initiative for the rights and unity of Queer, notes its Facebook page.
