YouTuber Prashna Raavan has been sent to 14-day judicial remand after being arrested for the fifth time in five days.

YouTuber Prashna Raavan was on Monday remanded to judicial custody for 14 days after being arrested for the fifth time in just five days, this time under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Raavan had earlier secured bail in four separate cases linked to his controversial speech targeting Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
However, he was repeatedly re-arrested by police in different cases before his latest arrest under the anti-terror law.
The Gannavaram Police booked him under Sections 13 and 39 of the UAPA, along with several provisions related to waging war against the Government of India, acts threatening the country's sovereignty and integrity, provoking riots, statements prejudicial to national integration, and spreading public mischief.
The case stems from a complaint filed by Garikapati Siva Sankar, who alleged that Raavan circulated a video glorifying the banned CPI (Maoist), promoting extremist ideology and encouraging public support for armed rebellion.
Raavan's lawyer, Jada Sravan Kumar, rejected the allegations, claiming his client made no remarks supporting Maoism during the June 28 public meeting of Dalit Christians in Eluru.
He alleged the UAPA charges were invoked only after Raavan obtained bail in earlier cases, accusing the police of attempting to ensure he remained behind bars.
According to the lawyer, prosecutors argued that Raavan had paid tribute to slain Maoist commander Madvi Hidma, who was killed by security forces in Andhra Pradesh in November 2025.
Sravan also claimed that Pawan Kalyan himself had expressed sympathy for the Maoist movement in the past.
Meanwhile, Raavan's wife, Anusha, dismissed allegations circulating on social media, claiming an intimate video purportedly featuring her husband was fabricated.
She also denied claims about his caste identity and alleged political affiliations, asserting that Raavan belongs to the Kamma community and has no links with the opposition YSRCP.
Calling the action against him politically motivated, Anusha said her husband was being branded a terrorist simply for questioning the government.
