Bengaluru: In a shocking case from Mysuru, a 20-year-old married woman was brutally murdered by her lover inside a lodge after a quarrel turned violent, India Today reported.
According to the police, the accused allegedly forced an explosive chemical powder stick into her mouth, leading to her death.
The incident took place on Monday. The victim, Rakshita, hailed from Gerasanahalli village in Hunsur taluk. Police identified the accused as Siddaraju, a resident of Bettadapura.
The authorities said Rakshita was married to a migrant labourer working in Kerala, but was also in a relationship with Siddaraju. During their stay at the lodge, a heated argument broke out, ending fatally. Siddaraju initially tried to mislead others by claiming that a mobile phone blast had caused her death.
Local residents, however, caught him while he attempted to escape and handed him over to police.
