New Delhi: A 29-year-old woman was found dead inside a hotel room in Delhi’s Paharganj area on Sunday morning. The deceased, identified as Sarika, was reportedly staying overnight at the hotel with her partner, Sachin (31).
According to police, a PCR call was received at 9:47 am at Nabi Karim police station from a hotel staff member who found Sarika lying unresponsive in the bathroom. Initial investigations suggest she was strangled using a drawstring.
The couple had checked into the hotel on Saturday. When staff found Sarika’s body the next morning, Sachin was missing from the room. The police launched a manhunt and have since apprehended the accused.
A case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered against the accused.
