Election Commission releases fourth supplementary voter list after massive verification drive; here’s how to check your name, booth details and what to do if missing.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday published the fourth supplementary voter list for West Bengal, marking the end of an extensive adjudication exercise ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
The updated roll comes after scrutiny of nearly 60 lakh names that were earlier flagged as “under adjudication” in the final list released on February 28.
Over 700 judicial officers were deployed across the state to verify these entries, making it one of the largest such verification drives in recent years.
While confirming the release, an official told PTI that the updated list is now public, but the Commission has not disclosed the exact number of names added or deleted during this round.
How to check your name online
Voters can verify their inclusion in the updated electoral roll through multiple official platforms:
- Visit the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) West Bengal website: ceowestbengal.nic.in
- Use the ‘Search Your Name in Voter List’ option
- Enter your EPIC number or personal details like name and constituency
- Alternatively, log on to the National Voters’ Service Portal: nvsp.in
These portals provide real-time access to your voter status across all supplementary lists.
How to check polling booth, part and serial number
Once you locate your name:
- Select your district and Assembly constituency
- Note your part number and serial number
- Confirm your designated polling booth
Officials strongly advise voters to complete this step well before polling to avoid last-minute confusion.
Where to check voter list offline
For those without digital access, physical copies of the updated rolls are available at:
- Office of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO)
- Local polling stations
- Designated election offices
Voters can visit these centres to verify their details in person.
What to do if your name is missing
If your name does not appear in the list:
- Contact your local Booth Level Officer (BLO) immediately
- Reach out to the District Election Office
- File a fresh application using Form 6 via NVSP or the Voter Helpline App
- Submit required documents proving eligibility and residence
Missing entries may be due to rejection during the adjudication process if eligibility criteria were not met.
Key election dates
The publication of the updated voter list clears the way for polling in the 294-member Assembly:
- First phase: April 23
- Second phase: April 29
- Counting of votes: May 4
With the electoral process entering its final stretch, voters are urged to verify their details early to ensure a smooth voting experience.
