Singh highlighted India's economic leap from 11th to a top-four global economy and the surge in defense exports

Raisen: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday hailed India’s economy as the world’s most “dashing and dynamic”, asserting that the country’s rapid rise is making some in the world uncomfortable — particularly those with an attitude of “we are everyone’s boss” — amid the backdrop of high tariffs announced by US President Donald Trump on Indian goods.
Speaking in Raisen district, Madhya Pradesh, after performing bhoomi pujan for a Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) rail coach manufacturing unit, Singh said, “The speed with which India is moving ahead, no power in the world can stop it from becoming a big power globally. Today, if any country has a dashing and dynamic economy, it is India's economy.”

Without naming countries, he said some are trying to make Indian products costlier abroad so they are less competitive. “They think we are everyone’s boss, and how is India moving forward so fast? … Many are trying to ensure things made by the hands of Indians become so expensive that people don’t buy them.”
Pointing to India’s economic progress, Singh noted that the country has risen from 11th position in 2014 to being among the top four economies globally. He highlighted growth in the defence sector, from Rs 600 crore worth of defence exports in 2014 to over Rs 24,000 crore now, crediting “the new defence sector of the new India” for supplying to global markets.
Referring to the April terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that killed 26, he said India gave Pakistan a “befitting reply” through Operation Sindoor. “We will not kill based on religion, but on deeds… we will not spare anyone who instigates us,” he declared.
On the new BEML rail coach unit, to be built at a cost of Rs 1,800 crore in Umaria village, Singh said it will generate employment for 5,000 people and spur local development. He praised Madhya Pradesh’s industrial growth, citing investment proposals exceeding Rs 30 lakh crore, and predicted, “After a few years, people will start calling Madhya Pradesh a modern state.”
