
Chennai: At least six people were taken to health camps due to dehydration during the first conference of actor Vijay's party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam at the Vikravandi area in Tamil Nadu on Saturday. This comes amidst reports that there wasn't enough water for the lakhs of participants and party volunteers.
The people witnessed excess heat at the conference of actor Vijay's party. Meanwhile, in the visuals the medical teams were seen at the spot where people suffered excess heat.
Many were also seen holding chairs above their heads to ward off searing heat rays.
Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin wished Vijay all the best for his future on the conference of actor Vijay's TVK party.
"I wish my dear friend Vijay all the best for his future," Udhayanidhi Stalin told reporters on Sunday.
Actor Vijay entered into politics and announced the name of his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazham, in February this year.
Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are expected to be held in 2026. (ANI)
