As many as 19 rebel TMC MPs led by Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar have reached Delhi, with sources claiming they could meet the Speaker on Monday after a strategy session and dinner at Bengal Bhavan.

New Delhi: The political drama surrounding the rebel faction of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is set to intensify in the national capital, with dissident MPs arriving in Delhi ahead of what could be a crucial day on Monday.
Sources said the group, which has reportedly secured the signatures of 19 Lok Sabha MPs, may approach the Lok Sabha Speaker to press ahead with its next political move.
The developments come amid growing signs of a deepening split within the TMC following the recent political realignment in West Bengal.
While the party has already witnessed the emergence of a separate bloc in the state Assembly, attention has now shifted to Parliament, where a sizeable section of MPs is said to be preparing for a show of strength.
Strategy meeting before key move
According to sources, the rebel MPs are scheduled to attend another round of discussions on Sunday evening at the residence of Union Minister and BJP’s West Bengal observer, Bhupender Yadav.
The meeting is expected to focus on the group's future strategy and possible parliamentary steps.
Several MPs were seen leaving Kolkata for Delhi on Sunday. Among them were actor-MP Dev, Mala Roy and Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, who is being viewed as the face of the dissident camp in the Lok Sabha.
Saayoni Ghosh had reportedly arrived in Delhi earlier and is expected to join the deliberations.
After the meeting, the MPs are expected to gather at Bengal Bhavan for a dinner that has already generated considerable political chatter.
Sources said the menu includes rice or roti, dal, potato fry, potol dorma, steamed hilsa, mutton curry, chutney, papad and curd.
Adding a symbolic touch to the evening, the dining area has reportedly been decorated with saffron-coloured tablecloths.
The rebel camp's strength remains a subject of intense speculation. While 19 MPs are said to have backed the initiative, sources indicate that another parliamentarian could join the group in Delhi.
The name doing the rounds is that of senior TMC leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay.
Political observers point to his recent movements, including being seen alongside Satabdi Roy and reportedly holding discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Although there has been no official confirmation of his participation in the rebel camp, his possible alignment has fuelled fresh speculation.
With the dissident MPs expected to meet again before Monday’s developments, all eyes are now on Delhi, where the next chapter of the TMC’s internal rebellion could unfold.
