Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha was adjourned on Wednesday until 11 am on February 5 amid persistent sloganeering by Opposition members protesting against the suspension of eight MPs during the ongoing Budget Session.
Outside Parliament, the suspended MPs staged a demonstration, holding placards declaring “PM is compromised”. The slogan echoed allegations made by Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi earlier this week while addressing the media on the India–US trade agreement.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday accused the government of evading scrutiny on matters of national security, after being repeatedly prevented from speaking in Parliament while attempting to cite the unpublished memoir of former Army Chief General M M Naravane.
