According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the wall cloud region crossed land between Nellore and Narsapur, with the storm generating wind speeds of 100–110 kmph, gusting up to 120 kmph. Severe weather conditions and storm surges of 1.0 to 1.5 metres threatened low-lying coastal belts, with peak inundation anticipated across Prakasam, Bapatla, and Krishna districts.

Heavy downpours accompanied by damaging winds lashed the coastal region, particularly around Kothapatnam Beach near Ongole.

Monitoring the situation, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu held a series of administrative teleconferences to evaluate preparedness. Naidu instructed district authorities to enforce strict safety measures to ensure zero loss of life, recalling previous casualties from Cyclone Arnab.

"Preventing loss of life must remain the administration's top priority," Naidu stated while directing grassroots ward offices to keep residents indoors until the storm clears.

Local administration officials updated the Chief Minister that light to moderate rainfall had begun spreading across Nellore and Prakasam districts ahead of the core landfall. Naidu further tasked power and irrigation departments with preventing canal breaches and deploying emergency teams for immediate electrical grid restoration.
