Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) handed ₹ 500 crore to Shrikant Shinde to transfer to Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil, and has called for an Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation.

In a post on X addressed to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Raut questioned the source of the alleged funds and asked whether the money had actually reached Jarange Patil.

Raut accused the BJP of buying MPs, MLAs, political parties and elections, alleging that the party had now begun buying agitations as well.

Describing the allegation as warranting investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader urged Shah to entrust the case to the ED.

Raut also tagged Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the Prime Minister's Office, the BJP's official account and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in his post.

The information provided does not independently establish the allegations made by Raut.

His demand for an ED probe puts the alleged ₹500 crore transaction and the purported roles of the individuals named by him at the centre of the political controversy.
