Nora Fatehi was questioned by the ED and Delhi Police during the investigation into Sukesh Chandrashekhar's alleged Rs 200 crore extortion case.

Actor Nora Fatehi's name came under scrutiny during the investigation into the alleged Rs 200 crore extortion and money-laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The actor was questioned by investigating agencies over her alleged interactions with people connected to Chandrashekhar and luxury gifts reportedly offered in connection with the case. However, Fatehi has denied any involvement in illegal activities and maintained that she was a victim in the matter.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned Fatehi in October 2021 as part of its probe into the alleged money-laundering activities of Chandrashekhar and his wife, Leena Maria Paul.
What Is The Rs 200 Crore Sukesh Chandrashekhar Case?
The case came to light following a complaint by Aditi Singh, wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Singh. She alleged that Chandrashekhar had cheated her of approximately Rs 200 crore by posing as a senior government official.
According to the allegations, Chandrashekhar promised to secure bail for her husband and used the false identity to convince her to transfer large sums of money. The investigation subsequently expanded to examine alleged money laundering and the use of luxury gifts and other assets.
Why Was Nora Fatehi Questioned?
Fatehi was questioned by the ED in October 2021 about her interactions with individuals associated with Chandrashekhar. Investigators also sought details about an event in Chennai that the actor had attended and which was reportedly organised by a company linked to Leena Maria Paul.

The actor was later questioned by the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in September 2022. The investigation examined allegations surrounding luxury gifts, including a car, reportedly offered to her or people associated with her.
According to earlier reports, Fatehi cooperated with investigators and shared details about her interactions with those connected to the case.
What Has Nora Fatehi Said About The Allegations?
Following her questioning, Fatehi's spokesperson issued a statement denying any involvement in money laundering or other illegal activities. Her representatives maintained that she had no personal relationship with Chandrashekhar and was cooperating with authorities as a witness.
The statement also urged the media to refrain from circulating unverified allegations about the actor.
In January 2023, Fatehi was identified as a witness in the Delhi Police investigation.
What About Jacqueline Fernandez?
Actor Jacqueline Fernandez was also questioned in connection with the Chandrashekhar case. Unlike Fatehi, Fernandez was named as an accused in the ED's money-laundering investigation. She has denied wrongdoing.

The case attracted considerable attention because of the alleged links between Chandrashekhar and several celebrities. However, being questioned by an investigating agency or appearing as a witness does not, by itself, establish criminal involvement.
There is no independently verified information in the available material confirming that Nora Fatehi has received a fresh summons in October 2026.
