In response to growing controversy surrounding influencer Ranveer Allahbadia's objectionable remarks on a YouTube show, YouTube has taken down the latest episode of India's Got Latent. The removal followed a formal request from the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) for the video’s removal, citing concerns over abusive language and offensive content.

The NHRC took cognizance of a complaint that accused some YouTube channels of using derogatory language and promoting content that could negatively influence young minds. The complaint also claimed that the content was offensive to women and included racist comments against certain ethnic groups in India. In response to the complaint, NHRC member Priyank Kanoongo stated, "We have issued a notice to YouTube, demanding the removal of such content and to inform concerned police authorities to begin penal action against the individuals involved."

The controversial remarks were made by Ranveer Allahbadia, widely known as Beer Biceps, during an episode of India’s Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina. The remarks about parents and sex sparked widespread backlash across social media, leading to a police case being registered against Allahbadia and four others—stand-up comedian Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija. The complaint, filed by a Guwahati resident, accused the individuals of promoting obscenity in a publicly accessible online show.

Allahbadia, 31, has since apologised for his comments, acknowledging the controversy surrounding his remarks. The case is currently under investigation by the Guwahati Police.
