Indigo (6E) has secured the 4th position in the Asia-Pacific region for punctuality, according to the March 2025 rankings by Cirium, a leading aviation analytics firm. Meanwhile, Air India (AI) ranks 9th, highlighting strong on-time performance in the region.

Indigo's performance metrics:

  • On-time arrival rate: 84.50%
  • Tracked flights accuracy: 99.95%
  • Completion factor: 99.92% (flights that weren’t cancelled)
  • Total flights tracked: 70,373

Air india's performance metrics:

  • On-time arrival rate: 80.42%
  • Tracked flights accuracy: 99.95%
  • Completion factor: 99.84% (flights that weren’t cancelled)
  • Total flights tracked: 22,112

Both Indigo and Air India are among the top 10 most punctual airlines in the Asia-Pacific region, excelling in flight tracking and completion rates. They perform exceptionally well alongside renowned carriers like Singapore Airlines.

Indian airports shine in global on-time rankings

The Cirium report also highlights the performance of Indian airports in the global on-time rankings:

  • Chennai International Airport (MAA): Global rank 16th
