Anna Lezhneva, wife of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan, visited the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala on Sunday evening to offer special prayers. Her visit comes after a recent fire accident in a school in Singapore involving their son, Mark Shankar, who escaped without serious injuries.

Pawan Kalyan had immediately flown to Singapore after the incident and brought their son back to India safely. As a gesture of gratitude, the family planned a visit to Tirumala. Anna Lezhneva fulfilled a vow by offering her hair at the temple, an act of devotion known as head tonsuring, commonly practiced by devotees to thank the deity.

She followed all Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) guidelines and signed the required declaration at Gayatri Sadan before entering the temple premises. Anna first visited the Sri Varaha Swamy temple, where she received teertha prasadam, and then went to the Padmavati Kalyana Katta to offer her hair.

On Monday morning, she will attend the Suprabhata Seva and have darshan of Lord Venkateswara. She will also make a donation towards TTD’s Nitya Annadanam scheme, which offers free meals to devotees every day, and take part in the Anna Prasadam at the Tarigonda Vengamamba Annadanam Center.
