New Delhi: More than 200 passengers on an Air India flight from Delhi to Singapore had a difficult time on Wednesday night after the aircraft’s air conditioning system failed.
Flight AI2380, operated with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, was scheduled to depart Delhi airport at around 11 p.m. on September 10, 2025. However, passengers remained seated inside the plane for nearly two hours without proper cooling or electricity.
A PTI journalist on board reported that the air conditioning and electric supply were not working. Eventually, all passengers were asked to leave the aircraft and return to the terminal. The crew did not give a clear explanation for the deboarding.
Videos shared on social media showed passengers fanning themselves with newspapers and magazines to cope with the heat.
Air India has not yet issued an official statement about the incident.
