Noida: A gruesome sight awaited residents in Noida’s upscale Sector 108 on Thursday morning, as the headless and unclothed body of a woman was found floating in a drain. Authorities confirmed that the woman’s identity remains unknown, and her palms had also been severed.
Police suspect the woman may have been murdered elsewhere, with her body subsequently dismembered and dumped at the site. Officers from Sector 39 Police Station responded swiftly after receiving an alert and transported the remains to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
According to an NDTV report, police said in an official statement that, “Today on 06.11.2025, information was received about the body of an unidentified woman being found in a drain near Sector-82 Noida cut. Acting immediately on the information received, the local police reached the spot and the body was taken out of the drain.”
A dedicated team has been formed to investigate the case. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being reviewed for potential leads. Police added that efforts to identify the woman are ongoing and that further legal procedures are being pursued.
The incident comes on the heels of a 35-year-old woman being chased by two men on a two-wheeler and having her car's rear windscreen smashed by them, as she was returning home from her Noida Sector 129 office.
