Mumbai: A major fire erupted on Thursday at the JMS Business Centre in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari West locality, officials confirmed.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the blaze has been classified as a Level-II incident, prompting an immediate large-scale response. Multiple fire tenders have been deployed to the site, and firefighting operations are currently underway.
Preliminary reports suggest that several individuals are stranded on the top floor of the building, and rescue teams are working to bring them to safety. So far, no injuries have been reported.
Authorities said further details regarding the cause of the fire and the extent of damage are awaited as operations continue at the scene.
