Three people were killed and one critically injured after a BMW crashed near Lotus Jetty on Mumbai Coastal Road early Sunday. Here’s what happened.

Three people were killed and another was critically injured after a BMW crashed on Mumbai’s Coastal Road near Lotus Jetty early Sunday morning, September 20. The car was travelling from Marine Drive towards Haji Ali when the driver allegedly lost control while speeding.
The crash took place at around 5:20 am, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
All four occupants were taken to Nair Hospital following the accident. Two victims were identified as 21-year-old Shanay Gajjal and 17-year-old Dhirya Seth, the BMC said, citing the Chief Medical Officer at Nair Hospital.
A third victim, an unidentified 25-year-old man, was declared brought dead at the hospital.
The fourth occupant, an unidentified 20-year-old man, remains in critical condition and is being treated in the trauma ward.
