The fourth day of the Monsoon Session witnessed fresh disruptions in both Houses of Parliament on Thursday, with the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha being adjourned till 12 noon amid loud sloganeering and protests by Opposition members.

The Lok Sabha descended into chaos as soon as Speaker Om Birla called for the commencement of Question Hour. Despite repeated appeals to allow the House to function, Opposition MPs continued their protests.

Urging members to maintain order, Speaker Birla said, 'I appeal to all MPs of the government and the Opposition to come after the Question Hour and discuss the issue within the rules of the House.' With the din continuing, he adjourned the House till 12 noon.

The Rajya Sabha also witnessed similar scenes, forcing an adjournment till 12 noon.

During the proceedings, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government and all political parties had agreed to discuss the NEET paper leak issue.

However, he accused the Congress, led by Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge in the Rajya Sabha, of attaching conditions to the debate.

'Do not put conditions or politicise the issue. This shows they don't want to let the discussion happen,' Rijiju said.

Kharge, meanwhile, demanded the resignation of the Union Education Minister over the alleged irregularities linked to the NEET examination.

After the adjournment, leaders of the INDIA bloc, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Akhilesh Yadav, staged a protest at Parliament's Makar Dwar, while NDA MPs held a counter-protest nearby.

Ahead of the proceedings, Congress MP KC Venugopal submitted an Adjournment Motion notice in the Lok Sabha, seeking suspension of the day's listed business to discuss what he termed the 'severe and ongoing crisis' in India's examination system.

He also sought a debate on the police action against student protesters at Jantar Mantar on July 20.
