Three people died and another was seriously injured after a car collided with a KSRTC bus near Shiradi Ghat in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district on Friday afternoon.

Mangaluru: Three people were killed and another sustained serious injuries after a car collided with a KSRTC bus in Dakshina Kannada district on Friday, police said.
The accident took place around 3.30 pm near Shiradi Ghat under the jurisdiction of Uppinangady police station in Puttur taluk.
According to police, the car, bearing a Karnataka registration number, was travelling from Hassan towards Mangaluru when it collided with a KSRTC bus that was en route from Dharmasthala to Tirupati.
The deceased have been identified as Chandrashekhar (57), Janardhan Gowda (58), and Shridhar Gowda (61), all of whom were travelling in the car. Another passenger in the car, Suresh (58) from Ujire, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was admitted to A J Hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
