A 21-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her husband in Kullegowdanapalya, Bengaluru, after he smashed her head with a stone over suspected infidelity.

Ramanagara (Karnataka): A 21-year-old woman was killed in a brutal attack allegedly carried out by her husband in Kullegowdanapalya under the jurisdiction of the Kaggalipura police station, police said on Saturday.
The victim, identified as Sinchana, was reportedly assaulted by her husband Renukaiah, who police say frequently accused her of being unfaithful.
According to investigators, tensions escalated on Friday evening after the accused had been drinking. "On Friday after consuming alcohol, he picked up a quarrel with her. In a fit of rage, he brought a stone lying in front of the house and smashed it on her head, killing her on the spot," police said.
Officers said the husband fled immediately after the attack.
Upon receiving information, police personnel visited the scene, examined the spot and moved the body for a post-mortem. "On receiving information, Kaggalipura police visited the spot, conducted an inspection and shifted the body for post-mortem. A case has been registered and efforts are under way to trace and arrest the accused," police added.
A murder case has been filed as the search for the suspect continues.
