Traffic restrictions are expected to begin from 12:00 noon to facilitate crowd management and security operations.

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for central Delhi ahead of the Lionel Messi G.O.A.T. India Tour – Delhi leg, scheduled at the Arun Jaitley Stadium (formerly Feroz Shah Kotla) from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Traffic restrictions are expected to begin from 12:00 noon to facilitate crowd management and security operations. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance as heavy pedestrian movement and security measures are likely to cause slow-moving traffic around the venue.
Authorities have announced several diversions on key routes, including Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, while the movement of heavy vehicles will be restricted on stretches from Daryaganj to Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road. Congestion is anticipated on arterial roads such as JLN Marg, Asaf Ali Road, and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
Spectators are instructed to enter the stadium through designated gates based on their approach routes: Gates 1–8 from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (south), Gates 10–15 from JLN Marg near Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal (east), and Gates 16–18 from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg near the petrol pump (west). Parking will be allowed only for authorised vehicles, with free facilities at Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road, and Velodrome Road. App-based cab users can use pick-up and drop-off points at MA Medical College (Gate No. 2) on BSZ Marg and Rajghat Chowk.
The Delhi Traffic Police has warned that unauthorised parking on key stretches will lead to towing and legal action. Citizens are urged to cooperate, follow traffic advisories, and prefer public transport, as Messi’s appearance is expected to draw massive crowds, impacting traffic throughout central Delhi.
