New Delhi: A Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed handler using the alias “Hanzulla” had shared bomb-making videos with Dr Muzamil Shakeel, one of the accused in the deadly blast near Red Fort that killed 15 people, NDTV reported, citing sources. Investigators believe the name ‘Hanzulla’ is likely a pseudonym.
According to the report, posters that surfaced in Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowgam in October, which triggered a terror probe, also carried the name “Commander Hanzulla bhai”. Security agencies are now attempting to track down the handler.

Sources told NDTV that the JeM handler contacted Shakeel through Maulvi Irfan Ahmed, a cleric from Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian who allegedly radicalised a group of doctors and created what investigators describe as a “white-collar terror module”.
Shakeel, a doctor at Faridabad’s Al-Falah University whose medical licence has since been cancelled, then recruited others. He is accused of transporting explosives and handing over the white Hyundai i20 later used in the Red Fort blast to Umar Mohammad, alias Umar-un-Nabi, identified through DNA tests as the suicide bomber.
200 IEDs planned, three cars procured
Meanwhile, investigators suspect the module, linked to the Pakistan-based JeM, had been preparing for months to carry out major attacks across Delhi, Gurugram and Faridabad. The group had reportedly planned to assemble 200 high-intensity IEDs.
Apart from the i20 involved in the explosion, the suspected bomber and his associates had also procured two additional vehicles from Delhi.
Faridabad police forms SIT to probe Al Falah University's activities
While multiple agencies are currently probing the car blast and the recently busted white collar terror module spread across at least three states, Faridabad Police has formed a separate Special Investigation Team to look into the activities of Al Falah University, several of whose doctors were arrested in connection with the high-profile case.
Meanwhile, investigating agencies have detained a cab driver, a cleric and an Urdu teacher for questioning, according to sources.
The SIT, which consists of two assistant commissioners of police, an inspector, and two sub-inspectors, is preparing a comprehensive report on the university's activities.
