Islamabad: A senior Pakistani political figure has sparked a fresh controversy after publicly claiming Islamabad’s involvement in the Red Fort blast, asserting that Pakistan-linked terror groups carried out attacks inside India in retaliation for alleged actions in Balochistan.

Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, a former “Prime Minister” of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), is heard boasting in the viral video that militant groups supported by Pakistan executed attacks “from the Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir.”

“I earlier said that if you keep bleeding Balochistan, we'll hit India from Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir. By the grace of Allah, we've done it and they're still unable to count bodies,” Haq says during a speech in the PoK Assembly.

“Few days later, armed men entered and attacked (Delhi) and they haven't probably counted all the bodies so far,” he adds, referencing the Red Fort blast.

Investigators in India have linked the attack to a sophisticated “white-collar terror module” associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), the Pakistan-based extremist group founded by UN-designated terrorist Masood Azhar.

Fifteen people have been killed in the blast near the Red Fort, and the roles of several doctors linked to the university and in Kashmir are under the scanner of the probe agencies.

The blast followed after the authorities recently busted the white-collar' terror module linked to terror outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, spanning Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

The investigation led to the seizure of around 2,900 kg of explosive material from two rented rooms in Faridabad, and the arrest/detention of several individuals, including doctors connected to the Al Falah University.
