Police were alerted and secured the site before IAF officials arrived to recover the Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA).

Jaisalmer: A broken unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) was found on farmland near the border area of Ramgarh in Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan, on Thursday, police said.
The UAV was spotted in a field at Chak No. 3, Sattar Minor, close to the India–Pakistan border, said Assistant Sub-Inspector Prem Shankar of Ramgarh police station. Upon receiving the information, a police team reached the site and began an investigation.
Later, IAF officials arrived at the location and took possession of the UAV.
According to a statement issued by the IAF, a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) was on a routine training mission when it experienced an engine malfunction and was force-landed safely near Jaisalmer. “The RPA was recovered in an empty field, resulting in no damage on the ground and minimal damage to the RPA itself,” the IAF said.
