The duo targeted mostly young viewers, offering live streams for ₹2,000 and recorded videos for ₹500

Hyderabad: A 41-year-old man and his 37-year-old wife were arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly live-streaming their sexual acts on a mobile app in exchange for money, police said on Thursday.
The couple, residents of Mallikarjuna Nagar in Amberpet, were apprehended by the East Zone Task Force during a raid following a tip-off. High-definition cameras and other recording equipment were seized from their residence.
According to officials, the husband, a cab driver by profession, and his wife confessed to streaming and selling explicit content as a means to earn easy money. Police revealed that they targeted mostly young viewers, offering live streams for ₹2,000 and recorded videos for ₹500.
“The couple earned significantly more through this activity than the man’s regular income as a driver,” police said in a statement. They used HD cameras to record their acts and wore masks to conceal their identities during the sessions.
Authorities have registered a case under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act. A further investigation is underway to identify collaborators or digital platforms involved in distributing the content.
