New Delhi: French President Emmanuel Macron is set to visit India from February 17 to 19, 2026, marking another significant milestone in the India–France Strategic Partnership. The visit comes at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and follows Modi’s trip to France in February 2025.

During the three-day visit, President Macron and Prime Minister Modi will hold wide-ranging discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation under the Horizon 2047 Roadmap. The roadmap outlines long-term collaboration across defence, technology, trade, climate action, space, education, and innovation.

The leaders are also expected to deliberate on key regional and global issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. India and France have steadily expanded their maritime and security engagement in recent years, particularly in the context of maintaining stability and a rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific.

A key highlight of the visit will be the joint inauguration of the India–France Year of Innovation in Mumbai. The initiative, to be celebrated throughout 2026 in both countries, aims to deepen collaboration in emerging technologies, research partnerships, startups, and scientific exchanges.

On February 19, President Macron will participate in the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, underscoring growing cooperation between the two countries in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.

The visit reflects the mutual trust between the two nations and their shared commitment to further strengthening strategic ties across defence, economic cooperation, climate action, and innovation-driven growth.
