India's first LPG ATM in Gurgaon. Learn how to get instant cooking gas refills via Bharatgas Insta machines. Read our guide for a quick, 24/7 solution.

Gurgaon (Gurugram) has officially stepped into the future of urban utility with the launch of the National Capital Region’s (NCR) first LPG ATM. This smart, automated vending machine, located in Sector 33, Sohna, allows residents to skip the long wait for home delivery and collect a cooking gas refill in just 2 to 3 minutes, reported TOI.
The Bharatgas Insta LPG machine, a pilot initiative by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), aims to modernise fuel distribution amid fluctuating supply chains and the growing demand for contactless services.
How the Bharatgas LPG ATM works
The process is designed to be as simple as withdrawing cash. Registered Bharatgas consumers can follow these digital steps for an instant refill:
- Login: Enter your registered mobile number on the touchscreen.
- Verify: Complete the identity check via an OTP (One-Time Password).
- Scan: Place your empty cylinder’s barcode or QR code under the scanner.
- Pay: Make a secure payment using UPI, debit cards, or net banking.
- Dispense: The machine automatically collects the empty unit and releases a fresh, filled cylinder.
Pro Tip: The system is fully automated and available 24x7, making it an ideal solution for working professionals who cannot stay home for delivery schedules.
Lightweight composite LPG cylinders: Key benefits
One of the biggest highlights of the system is the use of composite LPG cylinders, which are rapidly gaining popularity in India.
Why composite cylinders are better:
- Lightweight: Around 15 kg total vs ~31 kg traditional cylinders
- Transparent body: Easy gas level monitoring
- Corrosion-free & dust-free: Longer durability
- Safer design: Reduced risk compared to metal cylinders
- Easy to handle: Ideal for elderly users and working families
While the machine is currently installed at Central Park Flower Valley, its success could trigger a wider rollout across Gurgaon and Delhi-NCR. Beyond the speed of service, the machine features IoT-enabled remote monitoring.
Once the stock inside the ATM drops to just two cylinders, an automated alert is sent to the nearest gas agency for immediate replenishment, ensuring the "ATM" never runs dry.
