In view of heightened security measures across Delhi, the Delhi Police has issued an advisory urging passengers to plan extra time and reach railway stations, metro stations, and the airport well before their scheduled departures. The advisory, issued on Wednesday, comes as part of precautionary measures to ensure smooth security checks and timely boarding at major transport hubs in the national capital.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Transport Range) Milind Dumbre said passengers should arrive at railway stations at least one hour before train departure, at metro stations at least 20 minutes in advance, and at the airport at least three hours prior to their scheduled flights. These measures are aimed at minimising inconvenience for travellers while maintaining stringent security protocols.

Enhanced security deployments have been put in place across the city’s major transport hubs, with security teams conducting detailed checks of passengers, luggage, and vehicles entering the facilities. Joint CP Dumbre urged travellers to cooperate with security personnel to ensure safety and seamless travel operations.

Authorities emphasised that passenger cooperation is crucial to maintain safety and facilitate smooth boarding and travel, particularly amid intensified checks at railway stations, metro stations, and airports across Delhi.
