Delhi: At least two men have been detained following a deadly car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi that killed eight people on Monday evening. The vehicle involved, a white Hyundai i20, is now under close investigation, with authorities tracing its sales history to gather critical leads.

Police identified the car's original owner as Salman, a resident of Shanti Nagar, Gurugram. According to reports, Salman sold the 2013-model Hyundai i20 to Devender, a resident of Okhla, Delhi, around one and a half years ago.
Both men have been detained and are being questioned.
Authorities confirmed that the car had later changed hands to someone in Ambala, but additional details are still being gathered. Investigators have not drawn any conclusions regarding a terror plot or other motives at this stage.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has stated that all angles are being probed to ensure a thorough investigation.
