New Delhi: A political storm erupted in Delhi as the BJP lashed out at AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bharadwaj for attempting to "forcibly" enter former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence. The incident occurred during a media tour organized by the AAP to counter the BJP's "Sheesh Mahal" allegations.

BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi condemned the act, calling it an example of "irresponsible, insane, and anarchic behavior." Addressing a press conference, Trivedi said, "Their conduct has demolished any remaining semblance of political etiquette and ethics. This shameless act cannot overshadow the reality of Kejriwal's 'Sheesh Mahal,' which has become a monument to his extravagance."

The "Sheesh Mahal" controversy stems from allegations of corruption and luxury spending in constructing Kejriwal's official residence at 6, Flagstaff Road. Trivedi claimed that the property was transformed into a "museum of luxury items" using public funds.

Earlier in the day, Singh and Bharadwaj, accompanied by members of the media, attempted to enter the bungalow to showcase its interiors. However, they were stopped by police barricades and personnel stationed outside the premises.

"The people of Delhi feel betrayed by this disgusting display of corruption," Trivedi alleged, adding that voters would deliver a "befitting reply" to the AAP in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections.

Sanjay Singh defended the attempt, stating that the media tour was intended to provide transparency and counter BJP's "baseless claims." He criticized the BJP for politicizing the issue and accused them of spreading misinformation.

The BJP, however, remained steadfast in its accusations, asserting that no amount of deflection could erase the "truth" about the "Sheesh Mahal."

With assembly elections on the horizon, the incident has further intensified the ongoing political rivalry between the BJP and AAP, setting the stage for a heated electoral battle.
