Anita’s tour will conclude in China, where she will meet senior officials, including Wang Yi, Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs and China’s Foreign Minister, to advance bilateral cooperation on trade, economic collaboration, and regional stability, coinciding with 55 years of diplomatic ties between Canada and China.

Commenting on the tour, Anita Anand said, “For Canada to be strong at home, we need strong, stable partnerships abroad. I am building bridges and increasing cooperation with India, Singapore, and China.” The visit forms part of Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, aimed at enhancing its engagement with key regional partners and positioning the country as a reliable partner in the Indo-Pacific region.
