Hyderabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday intensified its organisational push in Telangana by inaugurating nine district party offices simultaneously across the state, with national president Nitin Nabin and state president N Ramchander Rao calling for stronger grassroots mobilisation ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.

Launching the district offices virtually from Rangareddy, Nabin described the new centres as platforms to strengthen the BJP's ideological outreach and organisational presence across Telangana.

He said the party was committed to expanding into every village, town and neighbourhood, expressing confidence that the BJP would emerge as a formidable political force in the state.

Addressing party workers, Ramchander Rao termed the inauguration a historic milestone in the BJP's organisational journey.

He said the new offices should function as centres for public outreach rather than mere administrative buildings.

BJP banks on grassroots network

Calling BJP offices ‘temples’ for party workers, Ramchander Rao urged cadres to use them to take the party's ideology and welfare agenda to every household.

He appealed for unity among workers with the common goal of bringing a BJP government to power in Telangana.

The party simultaneously inaugurated district offices in Rangareddy Rural, Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Kamareddy, Siddipet, Medak, Wanaparthy and Nagarkurnool, marking one of its biggest organisational expansion exercises in the state.

Nabin also described politics as a mission of service and sacrifice, urging party workers to begin preparations for the upcoming municipal elections with dedication.

He reiterated the BJP's goal of establishing a 'double-engine government' in Telangana, asserting that the state would benefit from closer coordination with the Centre.

BJP attacks Congress, BRS ahead of civic polls

The event also saw the BJP launch sharp political attacks on the ruling Congress government and the opposition BRS.

Speaking at the Booth Pramukh Sammelan and later at the Vijaya Sankalpa Sabha in Hyderabad, Nabin criticised the Congress, alleging that it 'always thinks like Italians' and accusing it of protecting the BRS over the alleged Kaleshwaram project irregularities.

He also claimed the Congress had criticised former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao after his death and reiterated that the BJP would not align with the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) in Telangana.

Ramchander Rao, meanwhile, accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of turning Hyderabad into a 'real-estate hub' while neglecting civic infrastructure. Referring to recurring urban flooding, he alleged that even moderate rainfall leads to severe waterlogging and claimed the state government had failed to address public grievances.

Projecting confidence ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, Rao said the BJP was poised for victory and urged party workers to remain vigilant against what he alleged were fake voter entries involving Rohingya and Bangladeshi immigrants in Hyderabad.

The BJP leadership maintained that the simultaneous inauguration of district offices would strengthen the party's grassroots machinery and provide momentum for its electoral campaign in Telangana as it seeks to expand its footprint before the upcoming civic polls.
