Chennai: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday lashed out at the DMK, calling it “the most corrupt government in the country” and accusing the party of seeking to make Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin the next Chief Minister.
Addressing the concluding event of Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran’s yatra in Tiruchirappalli, Shah said, “Time has come to put an end to family rule in TN…First Karunanidhi, then Stalin and now Udhayanidhi, this dream [for CM] won’t come true.”
He further targeted the DMK for governance failures, alleging that the state government had no concern for women’s safety. Shah also projected the BJP’s electoral ambitions in the state, asserting, “I want to assure all the party workers present here that the NDA government is set to be formed in Tamil Nadu in April 2026.”
